Elvira was born in Mexico City, in 1940.
She comes from a family of artists, starting her own artistic career in 1970, with her teacher, Arnold Belkin.
In 1975 she becomes student of one of the most important expressionists artists in Mexico, Professor Eduardo Cohen.
In 1997 she starts with natural drawings with Professor Gilberto Aceves Navarro.
From 2011 until 2014 she studies art with Professors Victor Martinez and Elisa Alvarez.
Her works of art include paintings, sculptures, drawings and engraving.
Elvira has participated in many collective and individual expositions in different cities all over the country; between them, The Israeli Sports Club, The San Pedro Museum (Puebla), Bellas Artes (San Luis Potosí), Metropolitano de Monterrey (Nuevo León).
Her expressionist and figurative work, full of textures, colors, social and human themes, and hard strokes, have made her stand out.
Her most recent work is “Lolita”, based on the famous novel “Lolita” from Vladimir Nabokov.
