As a child I drew all the time. As I got older, I became very involved in wrestling and art was set to the side. I returned to college to earn a B.A. in Art from Buffalo State College in 2002. After graduation, I enrolled in several workshops and continued to study on my own for a few years. I was introduced to the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto, where I have been training for the past 6 years.
I continue to push my work to grow as I learn and gain more experience as an artist and person. My work is a reflection on various aspects of my life. I paint and draw in the style of the Old Masters, while employing contemporary themes. I often use metaphors to illustrate an experience or belief. I use light to accent physical beauty, create a mood or drama, in addition to being a subject itself.
